New from New Zealand

Hi Everyone,

My name is Tim I am 27 and from New Zealand. I heard about this diet about 2 months ago through a family member who wasn't actually doing the diet - but I thought it would work in great with my job as I travel a lot.

I am now on day 15 of the fast diet and have being trying to stick with 5.2 but it can be difficult so I think I am averaging at like 4.5 2.5 hahahaha

My goal with the diet.

Firstly a lifestyle change I want this diet to become part of my normal life rather than some fad. (This is the first "diet" I have ever tried)

Secondly I have a goal of loosing 10kg in 100 days.

Stats so far.

Currently I have lost 2.1Kg over the 14 days
I have lost 3cm off my tummy

My BMI at the start was 30.45 (start of Obese)
BMI has just gone below Obese to 29.76

Currently at 90.1Kg with a goal of 80Kg (I am 340Grams ahead of my target)

I look forward to getting to know more of you over time and continuing this journey with you all.

Cheers,

Tim

Hi Tim!

Welcome to the forums.

I know you're new here, and probably had not seen the rule, but we don't allow discussion of extended fasting on this forum, so I removed that from your post. important.php

I know it's not the friendliest way to welcome you, and I'm sorry for that. But we had a prolonged discussion and forum vote on the issue, and there was a very clear majority.

But I hope this doesn't put you off and I'm glad you're enjoying 5:2 :-)

Great to see another Kiwi :-)

I travel a lot for work and so have to eat on the run much of the time, one thing in NZ I have found very handy is the Subway App because as you build the sub on the app it tells you how many calories it will be, you can then change ingredients around to suit your fast days.

Using this makes eating while traveling a breeze on fast days - love it!

I actually find it easier to do fast days while on the road too as my mind is occupied - every time I have had a fast day at home its failed in the evening with a binge haha

Yea, I think like others have said in many of the other topics - when you start, you start to take more notice of what you are eating (or Drinking)

For me a big one has been coke - I love the stuff, I know its not good but I never new what sort of effect it had on weight - Since monitoring calories I have almost completely gone off it!

Hi Tim and Welcome glad you seemed to have settled in to this WOL it may be your 1st diet :like: but you'll never need to look at trying a 2nd because this is simply the best out there ( and I've tried the All)
Good luck to you with your journey :clover: Sue
