If you're new and have a question or need some advice, please give us as much information as you can about your situation in order for us to be able to help you as best we can. For example, it's helpful to know your BMI/weight, how much you want to lose, any medical conditions which might affect your weight and (if you've started fasting already) how you do your fasts in terms of splitting up your calories, what you eat etc. Thanks!

Hello, it's me
Hello all,
I have re-started my 5:2.
In September, I think the day after MM's programme, I started and kept it going for 6 weeks and lost some weight. I was then ill (not related to 5:2 I hasten to add). When better, I got into the Christmas spirit quite early and gained back the weight . After Christmas, thanks to a new diet fad called the NoroVirus (a fast diet & detox plan but God it makes you feel rough) I'm lighter than I was in November.
So, here goes on my second attempt and I'm determined to make it part of my life as I actually enjoy the fasting bit and the feeding even more.
I will need help though and thus I'm grateful that this forum exists and hope I can do my bit also.

Hi John
Welcome back to the fold as it were! Sorry to hear you had to go through the dreaded norovirus. But glad you got some kind of benefit out of it!
I completely agree that the fasting can be enjoyable, principally perhaps because of the knowledge that on feed days there is no guilt!
